நான் நேற்று போத்தோங் பாசிரில் உள்ள ஸ்ரீ சிவ துர்க்கை கோயிலுக்குச் சென்றிருந்தேன். நமது அன்பான போதி கடவுளை வணங்குவதற்காக ஹௌகாங்கில் உள்ள ஜி யுன் காய் கோங் கோவிலுக்கு குடும்பத்துடன் சென்றேன். அம்மா சிங்கை வந்திருக்கும்போது அவரை இங்கே அழைத்துச் சென்றேன். மற்றபடி தினசரி நடைப் பயிற்சியில் இக்கோயிலுக்கு வெளியில் இருந்து சலாம் செய்வது என் வழக்கம்.
காய் ஹாக் டொங் கோயிலை, போர்க்கால மாவீரர் லிம் போ செங்கின் தந்தையும் தொழிலதிபருமான லிம் லோ தோற்றுவித்தார். 1800களின் பிற்பகுதியில் சீனாவின் ஃபூஜியன் நகரிலிருந்த தனது குலமரபு கோயிலில் இருந்து லிம் லோ ஊதுபத்தி எடுத்துவந்து, வொல்ஸ்கெல் சாலையிலிருந்த தனது செங்கல் ஆலையில் குடும்பச் சந்நிதி அமைத்தார். 1919-ல், சந்நிதி இருந்த இடத்தில் நிரந்தரமான கோயில் அமைக்கப்பட்டு, 1990கல் வரை செயல்பட்டு வந்தது. அதற்குப் பிறகு தற்போதைய இடத்திற்குக் கோயில் மாறிச்சென்றது. இன்று, லிம் குலமரபு வம்சாவளியினர் பலரும்
கோயிலில் தொடர்ந்து வழிபட்டு வருகின்றனர்.
NHBயின் கையேட்டில் இந்த கோயில் பற்றி இவ்வாறு கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தக் கோயில் வளாகத்தில், 1990களில் இங்கு இடம்பெயர்ந்த மூன்று சிறிய கோயில்கள் உள்ளன. காய் ஹாக் டொங் கோயில், கியிட் சன் பியோ மற்றும்
சாவ் யிங் கொங் கோயில்.
சாவ் யிங் கொங் (சாவ் யுன் காங்) சீனாவின் ஃபுஜியான் மாகாணத்தின் நன் நகரத்திலிருந்து ஊதுபத்தி சாம்பல் கொண்டு வந்து சிங்கப்பூரில் நிறுவப்பட்டது.

கியிட் சன் பியோ: 1898 ஆம் ஆண்டில், கியிட் சன் பியோவின் நிறுவனர்கள் ஆன்சி, புஜியானில் இருந்து முக்கிய தெய்வங்களின் சிலைகளை சிங்கப்பூருக்கு கொண்டு வந்து லோரோங் சுவானில் ஒரு கோவிலை நிறுவினர்.

அரசாங்கத்தால் நிலம் கையகப்படுத்தப்பட்டதன் காரணமாக, சாவ் யிங் காங் 1996 இல் ஜி யுன் கை ஜி காங் என்ற இந்த ஒருங்கிணைந்த கோவிலைக் கட்ட காய் ஹாக் டோங் மற்றும் கீட் சன் பியோவுடன் கூட்டு சேர்ந்தது.

I went to Sri Siva Durga Temple in Potong Pasir yesterday. I visited Zi Yun Kai Gong temple in Hougang with family to worship our beloved God of Bodhi. I took my mother here when she came to Singapore. Other than that, I usually salute the temple from outside during daily walk.
This is what the NHB handbook says about this temple. Take a stroll down Hougang Avenue 3 to Zi Yun Kai Ji Gong. This temple complex houses three smaller temples that relocated here since the 1990s:
- Kai Hock Tong Temple
- Keat Sun Beo and
- Chao Ying Kong Temple.
Notably, Kai Hock Tong Temple was founded by Lim Loh, father of war hero Lim Bo Seng. During the late 1800s, Lim Loh brought incense from his clan’s temple in Fujian, China, to his brickworks factory at Wolskel Road to serve as a family shrine. In 1919, a permanent temple was built in the shrine’s location and operated until the 1990s before relocating to its present site. Today, many of the descendants of the Lim clan still worship at the temple.
